This has happened to me several times where the employees have messed up MY medications but this one has sent me over board. My wife takes very specific medication for severe problems meaning, going too long without this Medicine can be fatal and severe. She called the meds in days prior to picking them and making sure they had them in stock and were the correct (NAME BRAND) meds, not the generic version the woman said yes, they have them in and were the right name brand meds. Go to pick them up Saturday turns out they weren't the correct ones and these ones cost her money to get, her correct meds she gets them without any pay at all so 1st red flag second, the pills look completely different and aren't the right ones. The woman says to my wife they are the generic brand and my wife CAN NOT take these they need to be the brand name meds ONLY! The woman told my wife "these are the same thing, they are made by the same manufacturer".BEING a med technician or employee behind the meds counter should know and understand first hand that just because some meds are made by the same manufacturer DOES NOT mean it has the same formula or compounds in it all the time! Name brand and generic versions can react differently in people with different illnesses! My wife has been on this medication for years and she has tried the generic version, there is a specific reason she does not take the generic version and only the name brand. So they messed up her order and couldn't get ahold of the doctor over the weekend to get what she needed. Walmart didn't have the correct one in stock even though the woman she spoke to said yes apparently she didn't understand the difference between the two types now my wife has been is severe withdrawal for more than 24 hours and has almost had an e.r. visit all thanks to the employee not being educated enough of knowing the difference between the two types of name brand and non name brand medication for this type of pill.
